    she is shocked when her friend Shay tells her that it is a superficial and boing life. Shay plans to escape/to run away with a secret community where you keep your force unaltered, but the Specials who work for the anthorities question Tally about the secret place. if doesn't tell them the truth. She will remain ugly for ever. Will she denounce /betray her friend?

     the document is a homemade video of a teeneger explaining what is peer pressure. In fact , in order to be more specific we could say that for him there are two aspects of peer pressure (one positive and the other negative). Peer pressure is the influence caused by a group on a person to make him/her comform the group standards.On the one hand, peer pressure can be negative. For example when in a group of four girls, three of them make the fourth who is naive/gullible smoke.She does so in order to be a member of the group. On the other hand peer pressure can be positive. For instance like in a group of 4 persons working on a science project. The three ambitous ones can motivate the fourth and make him want to become better/to succeed.

    Finally we did an exercice about description.

    The picture suggests that the main character of the novel is normal and thus considered as being ugly in this world.

    As a consequence ,she must hide her face because she feels ashamed.

    She doesn't fit this society.

    The back cover tells us the story of the book .

    Tally is the main character and she is about to be 16.

    In this world , ugly people have the choice to experience a plastic surgery in order to be beautiful and thus be accepted by the society.

    The only way to reach happiness is to be beautiful.

    The problem is that you lose your identity .

    This society is based on superficial / shallow elements.

    This is the trailer of the movie the devil wears prada with Meryl streep and Anne hathaway.

    The main character has managed to find a job as a personal assistant in a famous fashion magasine . The job consists in doing whatever her boss asks her to do .

    Her boss is strict , authoritative and almost inhuman whereas  she is a simple  and naive person.

    She is considered as being out of fashion and having no style .

    She will have  to cope with many different issues.

    As a consequence , in order to be accepted by the magasin staff , she change her style and she becomes a fashionista.

    Then she will have a promotion and will become importante for the magazine.

    Howerer , her personal life will become worse ,she will even forget her boyfriend's brithday.

    Indeed,not only did she change her style ,but she also lost her simple identity.

    The moral could be , don't forget who your are ' and where you come from.

    At first , the video looks like an advert for a L’Oreal’s cosmetic product.

    Actually it’s a spoof ad /fake ad armed at denouncing criticizing the beauty magazines. Indeed, at the beginning we think that the advert is selling a cream to erase the wrinkles thanks to the advert called Fotoshop by Adobe’ people can make you look slim, spotless, tall young etc.… (Without surgery, working out). You can even change your race, or become lean/skinny. Your skin can look like plastic.

    The spoof denounces the fact that those magazines are lying to people and that there are dangerous. Indeed they have the power to decide what is trendy or old-fashioned but the pictures are fake.

    It is a fantastic comedy telling the story of a man who lives the same day, over and over.

    He wakes up at 6 o’clock, takes a shower and meets the same people. The day which is repeated is the Groundhog Day in Pennsylvania.
